Numerical models revolutionize coastal management, saving beaches from erosion.
Queensland's coastline faces erosion issues due to natural processes like winds, tides, waves, and currents. To manage this, Shoreline Erosion Management Plans (SEMP) are used. A method involving numerical modeling was developed to create effective SEMPs. By studying Stockton Beach as a case study, the approach was found to be beneficial in understanding erosion patterns and recommending suitable solutions for coastal management.
