Boost Your Jujube Harvest with Preharvest Agro-Chemical Sprays!
Researchers in Saudi Arabia studied how spraying different chemicals on jujube trees affected fruit quality and yield. They tested substances like gibberellic acid and calcium nitrate on the trees after the fruit had started growing. The results showed that some sprays delayed the harvest date, while others led to higher fruit retention and better quality fruit. Spraying gibberellic acid and CPPU resulted in the highest yield and fruit retention. Overall, the chemicals increased the fruit's sugar content and size, but decreased carotenoids.
