Pension systems in the Baltic States are facing challenges due to demographic and economic issues. Reforms are being made to achieve financial balance, limit early retirement, and adjust retirement ages. Combining state and private pension systems could help improve the current system. However, high social security contributions from the state sector limit funds available for private pensions. By examining the problems and similarities in the Baltic States' pension systems, researchers aim to find ways to strengthen private pension funds and improve overall retirement security.
