The study looked at how feeding genetically improved farmed tilapia with artificial feed and adding cow dung and poultry manure to ponds affects their growth and body composition. Fish in ponds with organic fertilizers gained more weight, grew faster, and had higher protein and fat levels compared to fish in ponds without fertilizers. This shows that using a combination of organic manure and artificial feed helps GIFT tilapia grow better in semi-intensive systems.
