The article compares renewable energy use and policies globally and in Turkey. Countries are focusing on renewable energy due to limited fossil fuels and to protect the environment. Turkey, as an OECD member and EU candidate, needs to align its policies with EU standards. Despite having many renewable energy sources, Turkey still imports over half of its energy. The study aims to analyze and suggest solutions for Turkey's energy challenges by comparing its policies with global practices.
