Stereotypes can be accurate. Research shows that stereotype accuracy is a major finding in social psychology. There is ongoing debate about whether stereotypes are accurate or not, and how to define and measure accuracy. It is also questioned whether stereotypes can be used reasonably when forming opinions about people. The study suggests ways to develop theories and future research on stereotype accuracy.
