The article models how pumping and injecting water into aquifers can cause land subsidence. It uses a linear elastic solution to analyze the sensitivity of aquifer parameters. The study looks at how different factors affect the risk of land subsidence, comparing single and double well scenarios. The results help guide water management to reduce the potential for land sinking due to artificial recharge and discharge.
