The article compares two techniques, Planning Poker and Wideband Delphi, for estimating software costs. The study found that using these techniques improved the accuracy of cost estimation in two companies. Planning Poker was more accurate than Wideband Delphi and helped reduce financial risks in projects. Both techniques also significantly reduced underestimates.
