Cutting-Edge Model Accurately Predicts Rain, Revolutionizing Weather Forecasting Industry.
The researchers used a model called WRF-EMS to predict rain in certain areas. They compared the model's predictions with actual rainfall data and found that it was good at predicting no-rain events in Sumatra and Kalimantan. The model was accurate in predicting rain in the morning but tended to overestimate in the afternoon and evening. It performed well in predicting rain in the territorial waters of south Sumatra and Java Island. The model had high accuracy values at the Citeko station for predicting rain a couple of days in advance, with different resolutions affecting the accuracy of the predictions.
