Ozone Layer Healing, Protecting Earth from Harmful Radiation
The ozone layer high up in the sky is getting thinner because of man-made chemicals, especially over the poles like in Antarctica, where there's a big hole in the ozone. Thanks to the Montreal Protocol, these harmful chemicals are decreasing, and the ozone layer might be getting better in some parts of the sky. In the upper stratosphere, the thinning of the ozone has stopped recently, but we're not totally sure yet if the ozone is recovering in other areas. So, overall, the ozone layer might be slowly getting better because of the actions we've taken to reduce harmful chemicals in the atmosphere.
