Earthworm-fed fish show equal growth to those fed traditional diet.
A study looked at how well Clarias gariepinus fish grew when fed earthworm meal instead of fish meal. Earthworms were collected, dried, and used in different amounts in the fish diets. The fish were fed these diets and their growth was measured. The results showed that there was no significant difference in weight gain, growth rate, food conversion, protein efficiency, and survival between the fish fed the different diets.
