Researchers studied how different nutrient management strategies affect the growth and yield of Cape gooseberry plants. They tested various combinations of biofertilizers, NPK fertilizers, and farmyard manure on the plants. The treatment with Azotobacter + 100% NPK + FYM resulted in the tallest plants, thickest stems, most shoots, and highest fruit yield. Another treatment with Azotobacter + 75% NPK + FYM led to the largest leaf area and quickest time to harvest fruits. Using biofertilizers along with other nutrients can help improve soil fertility and crop production.
