The article introduces a new method to solve complex product mix problems in production systems. By combining different priorities assigned to products by different bottlenecks, the algorithm finds an initial solution and then improves it by solving a set of linear inequalities. This new approach has been shown to provide better solutions than previous methods for both single and multi-bottleneck systems.
