Researchers conducted trials to identify sorghum varieties suitable for both grain and fodder production in western Rajasthan. They found that varieties CSH-23 and CSV-17 had higher grain yields, while SPV-1779, CSV-20, CSV-23, and SPV-1753 had higher stover yields. For fodder production, SU-l080, CSH-24 MF, CSH-20 MF, Pant Chari-6, and Raj Chari-2 yielded more green fodder. These high-yielding varieties are recommended for cultivation in the region.
