Uneven heating leads to gender differences in feeling cold indoors.
The study looked at how people feel comfortable in rooms with floor heating and cold windows. They found that different body parts feel different temperatures in these rooms. As the air gets warmer, the differences in temperature between body parts decrease. Women are more sensitive to temperature changes than men. In the study, women felt colder than men in the same room.
