New method enhances MRI image contrast for clearer medical diagnoses.
A new method was developed to improve the contrast of MRI images by using a technique called histogram specification with Gamma distribution. The researchers analyzed the original image, calculated its histogram, and used a statistical method to identify the different modes in the image. By adjusting the modes, a new histogram was generated to enhance the contrast of the image. Testing showed that this method successfully improved the clarity of MRI images.
