Bio-inoculants and manure boost soybean yields and soil fertility dramatically.
A study was done to see how adding special bacteria and manure to soybean plants can help them grow better in rainy conditions. The researchers found that using a combination of Rhizobium, Azotobacter, phosphate-solubilizing bacteria, and farmyard manure increased plant growth, seed yields, and nutrient uptake. The best results were seen with Rhizobium + Azotobacter + PSB + FYM, which increased the number of nodules on the roots and improved soil fertility. This method also increased nitrogen and phosphorus uptake by the plants, leading to higher yields compared to using no additives. Overall, adding these bio-inoculants and manure can help soybean plants grow better and produce more seeds in rainfed conditions.
