Groundbreaking Qualitative Secondary Analysis Studies Uncover Unexplored Concepts and Perspectives
The article looked at how researchers analyze existing qualitative data to find new insights. They found 29 studies that did this, with most using grounded theory or phenomenological approaches. Some studies focused on new concepts, others on different types of participants, and some aimed to combine different perspectives for a broader analysis. The number of studies using this method has increased since the 1990s. This research will help improve how we analyze qualitative data and encourage more studies to use this approach.
