Organic farming proven more eco-friendly, could transform agriculture and environment.
Organic farming is better for the environment than conventional farming. The researchers compared the two types of farming and found that organic farming performed as well as or better than conventional farming in most areas. When all the environmental categories were combined, organic farming was consistently more eco-friendly, except in climate and air quality. Adding natural areas like field margins to organic farms can enhance their environmental benefits, particularly for preserving biodiversity. Essentially, by integrating organic practices and conserving natural habitats on farmland, we can achieve many environmental goals, especially in terms of supporting biodiversity.
