Anaerobic Exercise Boosts Power and Metabolism, Enhancing Athletic Performance.
The study looked at how different types of short, intense exercises affect power output, blood lactate levels, and enzyme activity in the body. They found that 10-second anaerobic exercises showed the highest power output and lowest fatigue, while 60-second and 90-second exercises led to higher blood lactate levels. The levels of certain enzymes in the blood also increased after exercise, with the 10-second and 30-second exercises showing the biggest changes. Overall, the peak blood lactate levels were linked to how tired the participants felt and the activity of certain enzymes in the blood.
