A new data model called HyperObject Data Model (HODM) has been developed to handle semi-structured data more efficiently than traditional relational databases. This model builds upon the existing HyperFile model, which allows for flexible storage of complex data. The researchers also introduced a new query language, HyperObject Query Language (HOQL), to manipulate data stored using HODM. By implementing this model on top of a relational database, it becomes easier to manage diverse types of semi-structured data.
