Farmland prices in Pennsylvania in 1977 were studied based on factors like land quality and distance from cities. The study looked at 268 farm sales in 10 counties and found that proximity to cities and types of land on a farm affected prices. Land near cities and certain types of land were valued higher, with prices per acre ranging from 650to650 to 650to700 at 85 miles from the nearest city.
