Coffee seedlings were studied to see how they respond to different nitrogen-fixing biofertilizers. The experiment took place over two years, from 2001 to 2003. The seedlings were treated with biofertilizers containing Azotobacter chroococcum, Azospirillum brasilense, or a combination of both, along with varying levels of inorganic nitrogen. The seedlings treated with Azospirillum and full nitrogen showed the best growth, leaf nutrient content, and establishment of beneficial microorganisms inside the plants.
