New sugarcane varieties boost yield and quality under challenging soil conditions!
Researchers studied how different types of sugarcane performed when grown in Bhat soil. They looked at eight new varieties and compared them to two standard ones. They found that CoP 92186 had the highest cane yield and stalk length, while CoSe 92429 was best for sucrose quality. CoP 92184 had the most millable canes, and CoP 92186 had the highest purity coefficient. Overall, CoSe 92423 outperformed the standard varieties in various growth and quality attributes.
