New Feed Combination Boosts Milk Production in Cows While Cutting Costs!
The researchers studied how feeding cows a mix of Gliricidia leaves and urea-treated paddy straw compared to a mix of Gliricidia leaves and untreated paddy straw affected milk production. They found that cows fed the Gliricidia leaves and urea-treated paddy straw mix had higher dry matter digestibility and lower feeding costs per kilogram of milk produced. Both groups of cows met their nutrient requirements, but the cows fed the Gliricidia leaves and urea-treated paddy straw mix were able to sustain 5-6 liters of milk production economically.
