Document clustering is important in text mining. There are two types: hard clustering and soft clustering. Soft clustering, also known as fuzzy clustering, allows data points to belong to multiple clusters. A fuzzy approach using Fuzzy C Means (FCM) clustering algorithm was used to classify documents in the Enron email dataset. The results showed that fuzzy clusters are more accurate than hard clusters.
