New herbicide application method boosts soybean yield and reduces weed density.
The researchers tested different herbicides on weeds in soybean fields over two years. They found that using alachlor and pendimethalin, along with hand weeding, reduced weed growth and increased soybean yield. The best results were seen with alachlor at 1.5 kg per hectare and two hand weedings. These methods were more effective than using only hand weeding or other herbicides.
