Boosting wheat yields and soil health with nutrient management practices
A study was conducted to see how different ways of managing nutrients and crop rotations affect wheat growth and productivity. They tested four levels of nutrients and six crop sequences. Using a mix of fertilizer, manure, and biofertilizer increased wheat yield by 17.5% and 23.0% compared to just using chemical fertilizer. Growing wheat after pulses like greengram and Frenchbean also boosted yield by 11% and 10%. The wheat-rice sequence was found to be the most productive and profitable cropping system.
