Slipping on a chip could cost you big in court battles.
The court case Strong v Woolworths Ltd [2012] HCA 5 involved a slip and fall incident where the plaintiff couldn't prove how long a chip was on the floor. Woolworths argued that just the presence of the chip didn't mean they were negligent. The court had to decide if Woolworths breached their duty of care.
