Land size impacts crop production and prices in Ethiopia, forecast shows decline.
The study looked at how changes in the size of cultivated land affect crop production in Ethiopia. They found that increasing land size doesn't always lead to more crop production due to land transfer restrictions and low technology use. By analyzing data, they discovered that changes in cultivated land can impact producer prices, but the reverse is true only for cereals. Most variations in land size are due to new innovations, while producer prices are influenced by both land size and their own past values. The study predicts that both land size and producer prices will continue to decrease in the future.
