The study looked at how air movement and temperature affect the growth and behavior of pigs. They tested different temperatures and air speeds on 192 pigs and measured their weight gain, food consumption, and activity levels. The results showed that higher air velocity improved growth and food intake at warmer temperatures, but decreased efficiency. Pigs in cooler temperatures were less active and preferred to lie down, especially with still air. In very cold temperatures with high air movement, most pigs huddled together.
