A study analyzed energy efficiency in Chinese provinces using a special math model. Energy intensity alone doesn't accurately show how well energy is used in China. The researchers found that the consistent energy efficiency in provinces is around 81%, while transient energy efficiency is about 97%. Higher efficiency could cut China's energy use by 25%.
