Researchers have developed a new method using impregnation to repair deteriorated bridge decks, curbstones, and delaminated concrete. Field tests showed that impregnated deck sections had high compressive strength and low water absorption. Plans are underway to repair entire decks using this technique. Low-viscosity monomer systems have also been created for repairing delaminated concrete.
