New Study Reveals Surprising Insights into Potassium Distribution in Soil
The study looked at potassium levels in black soils from different areas. The type of parent material didn't affect the potassium content in the soil. On average, the soils had 913 mg of total potassium per 100g of soil. Different forms of potassium in the soil were related to each other, showing a balance between them. The amount of silt, clay, organic matter, pH, and CEC in the soil were linked to exchangeable and citric acid soluble potassium. Water soluble potassium was not affected by these factors.
