Clay-rich soils in Andhra Pradesh show poor long-term potassium supply.
The researchers studied how potassium behaves in different soils in Andhra Pradesh. They found that soils with more clay tend to have more potassium. However, soils with high clay and organic carbon have less easily available potassium. Soils with low clay, organic carbon, and cation exchange capacity have poor long-term potassium supply. Soil acidity and salt content also affect how much potassium is available in the soil.
