Wheat Yields Soar 29% with Integrated Nutrient Management in Uttar Pradesh
In a study conducted in Uttar Pradesh's Bundelkhand Zone, researchers tested different ways to help wheat grow better. They found that using a mix of N, P, K fertilizers along with helpful bacteria and organic material before planting led to a 29.3% increase in wheat yield compared to traditional farming methods. This means that by using these specific nutrients and treatments, the wheat plants produced more grain. The fields treated this way also made more money - up to Rs. 50,390 per hectare, higher than fields using traditional methods. The farmers who used this special combination of nutrients earned the most money and got the highest benefit from their investment.
