New weed control method boosts sorghum yield, revolutionizing agriculture.
In a field experiment on hybrid sorghum, applying atrazine before planting and weeding twice resulted in the lowest weed biomass and best overall results. This treatment also had a lower weed index compared to other methods like using atrazine with one weeding or ethyl ester of 2,4-D. The combination of atrazine application before planting and two weedings at specific times led to the highest grain yield among all treatments tested.
