Experimental studies show that for weirs with a sharp corner, the discharge coefficient and water-surface profiles vary with these ratios. Weirs with a streamlined corner have a brink depth close to 0.715 times the critical depth when the height-to-width ratio is between 0.05 and 0.25. The discharge coefficients for these weirs are similar to values calculated by a specific method.
