The study looked at the types of fats in pike fish from Eber Lake in Turkey over a year. They found that pike had more healthy fats (PUFA) than unhealthy fats (SFA) in their muscles. The amount of healthy fats was highest in June when the lake had more nutrients. The ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fats varied throughout the year, with the highest ratio in November and the lowest in February. The fatty acid composition and ratio of healthy to unhealthy fats changed depending on the month and were influenced by the fish's spawning activities.
