The study looked at gender wage discrimination in Taiwan from 1978 to 2006. They found that the discrimination has increased significantly due to differences in wage structures. Female wages only started to catch up after 1995. The researchers also discovered that discrimination is linked to national income and female productivity, but negatively related to female labor force participation. More research is needed to fully understand these relationships.
