To tackle this, researchers studied how policy incentives and technology can help small farms in Anjeni, Ethiopia. They found that using a mix of soil conservation, fertilizer credit, and better crop varieties can boost income and slow down land degradation. However, just using physical soil conservation methods is not enough. Factors like farm size and education level affect how likely farmers are to use these technologies.
