Slow Internet Adoption in Omani Businesses Hinders Growth and Innovation.
The study looked at why Omani private sector organizations are slow to adopt Internet technologies. They surveyed 60 organizations and found that some reasons for not adopting the Internet include it not being relevant to their business, low demand for online purchasing, lack of skilled employees, and security concerns. Business decision makers' negative attitudes towards the Internet could also be a barrier. The size of the organization doesn't affect Internet adoption, and Omani businesses prefer face-to-face interactions with customers.
