New Method Extracts Benzodiazepines from Serum for Rapid HPLC Analysis
A new method was developed to quickly measure benzodiazepines and their byproducts in blood using high performance liquid chromatography. They used special extraction columns to pull out the drugs from the blood, then washed them out with methanol. This method can detect drug levels as low as 25 ng/ml in just half a milliliter of blood.
