Revamped land registry system in Serbia enhances legal security for all
The cadastre of real estates in Serbia has been updated to include functions from land books, creating a more comprehensive system. The Law on Land Survey and Cadastre of 2009 made changes to the composition of the cadastre to improve its efficiency. The cadastre now consists of a report of survey, a document collection, and a database. While an all-inclusive database can be beneficial, it may complicate the registry of real estate. However, advancements have been made to ensure the content of a land registry file is precise and easily accessible, enhancing legal security.
