The article discusses the challenges of managing increasing plastic waste in municipal solid waste. Different cities handle plastic waste differently, but many still use outdated methods. The study identifies problems caused by the rise in plastic waste and proposes alternative waste treatment systems at the planning stage. By comparing different approaches in waste collection, processing, and disposal, the researchers aim to improve solid waste management, especially regarding plastic waste.
