Developing Countries Gain Leverage in Carbon Credit Certification
The article explores how certification of emission credits affects the behavior of countries in the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). However, if the cost is equal to a certain value, both certification methods have the same impact. This suggests that operational entities should consider the cost of certification when choosing between ex ante and ex post certification in CDM.
