Groundwater study reveals critical imbalance in Manas River Basin, China.
Groundwater in the Manas River Basin, China was studied using a computer model. The researchers found that the area receives a lot of water from the sides, with most of it coming from there. They also discovered that a lot of water evaporates from the ground. Overall, the amount of water going into the ground is more than the amount coming out. The computer model did a good job of predicting the water levels. The researchers also found that the water level can drop by about 26.59 meters at a rate of 0.15 meters per day when a well is pumping water.
