Effective herbicide combination boosts chickpea yield and profits significantly.
A study was done to see how different herbicides affect chickpea growth and weed control. They used quizalofop-ethyl and pendimethalin at different doses. The herbicides helped reduce weed density and weight, especially when pendimethalin was followed by quizalofop-ethyl at certain doses. This led to better chickpea growth, more nodules, and higher yields. The best results were seen with pendimethalin followed by quizalofop-ethyl at 125 g/ha. This combination also gave higher profits compared to other treatments.
