Zimbabwe Faces Severe Water Crisis as Climate Change Impacts Hydrological Cycle
The Zimbabwe Water Forum, supported by the Ministry of Environment and the World Bank, studied how climate change affects water resources in Zimbabwe. They found that decreasing rainfall will reduce groundwater recharge, impacting agriculture and energy. To adapt, better data on climate and water resources is needed, along with models to predict future water use and impacts. A comprehensive Climate Change Adaptation Strategy is recommended to address these challenges.
