A flood forecasting system was developed for the upper Ping River basin in Northern Thailand to help predict and manage floods. The system used two models to estimate runoff and simulate flood routing along the river. By accurately simulating flood hydrographs, the system can be used to mitigate flood risks in areas like Chiang Mai and Lamphun.
